Katie Hart Smith, RN, MBA (Co-Founder)

Hart Smith’s career has evolved from the practice of clinical nursing and progressed into healthcare administration, becoming the first Director of Orthopaedics for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Her career continued to develop into the area of healthcare marketing, where she helped design, develop and implement Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Orthopaedic Community Outreach Program.

She has achieved national recognition by the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses and serves as a manuscript reviewer for the Orthopaedic Nursing Journal. Ms. Smith has been a freelance medical writer for 10 years, with articles in numerous journals and chapters for several professional textbooks. In addition to her medical expertise, she has also been an aerobics instructor certified by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) for over 15 years.

Hart Smith received her Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing from Georgia State University and her Masters in Business Administration from Troy State University. She has been a resident of the Atlanta, Georgia area for over 26 years.
